The layered material for application to a carrier plate, in particular, a plate consisting of a wood material comprises a metal foil layer which incorporates at least one metal foil, and carries at least one resin layer. Independent claims are also included for: (A) a building element with the proposed layered material cover; (B) a mehtod for producing such a building element.
