The flat item separation device has a suction drum provided with suction openings (20-23) within a region of the suction drum which is brought into contact with the flat item to be separated. The suction openings are offset so that a time offset is provided between activation of one part of the openings (20'-23'), for partial elimination of the noise generated by the activation of the suction openings. |
