An injection moulding machine is provided with two or more hoppers 3, 5 arranged one above another, all connected to a common vacuum pump 6, with means whereby each hopper may be shut off from the other hopper or hoppers. The hopper 3 has a main evacuating connection 361 containing a valve 363, and a smaller by-pass connection 310. The hopper 5 has a small section connection 52 and a valve 563. A heatable cone-shaped baffle 333 preferably has a greater cone angle than the hopper 3.</p> |
