PURPOSE: A method for transferring a state of a mobile terminal for a wireless data service is provided to transfer to a CHM(Control Hold Mode) in a section where data are not transmitted, and to transfer to an AM(Active Mode) if the data are generated, thereby minimizing power and wireless resource consumption. CONSTITUTION: In a CHM, a BS(Base Station) transmits a PCB(Power Control Bit) through an F-CPCCH(Forward Common Power Control Channel) at the maximum speed, and transmits indication information again through assigned slots of an F-WUCH(Forward Wake-Up Channel). If data have to be transmitted to an MS(Mobile Station), the BS enables indication information transmitted through slots assigned to the MS from the F-WUCH, and transmits an MAC_ID of the corresponding MS through an F-SPDCCH(Forward Secondary Packet Dedicated Control Channel), then transfers to an AM, to transmit the data through an F-PDCH(Forward Packet Data Channel). |
