[Class 144 (i).] In a wheel of the kind comprising strakes 5 arranged ob liquely betweer rims 2, the strakes are flush with the rims, so that the wheels can be driven on the road without the necessity of fitting road bands. The strakes are curved to conform with the curvature of the rims, and are flanged at their ends 8 and bolted to the rims. Alternatively, the rims may be grooved to receive the ends of the strakes. Holes 10 are provided in the strakes for the reception of spuds.
