The root canal inlay (1) is made of a fiber reinforced material like carbon fiber, fiber glass or ceramic fiber. The fibers (2) are preferably arranged parallel to each other and kept together by a suitable plastic or artificial resin. The material should retain a slight flexibility in order to enter crevices in the surface of the root canal (4). The unit (1) is covered with a layer of an appropriate synthetic material like vinyl-silan. |
