<p>The lettuce harvester has two rings (8a, 8b) at its base which fit over the plant and press the unwanted tough outer leaves outwards. A dish-shaped circular cutter (10) is mounted on a lever (4) attached to a vertical support (11) mounted on the rings. This can swivel down (2) to cut the base of the plant.</p> |
