<p>A composition for removing scale from water supply systems comprises one or more alkali metal dithionites, a complex former and a buffer. The complex former comprises one or more inorganic, condensed polyphosphates with two or more P atoms in the polyphosphoric acid molecule. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) aqueous solutions for removing scale from drinking water tanks and equipment associated with them which is obtained by dissolving the composition in water; and (B) removing scale from water supply systems, especially drinking water tanks, by contacting it with the aqueous composition.</p> |
