A pallet for transporting wheeled dollies includes a deck (4) for receiving the dolly and a support structure (6) for supporting the deck above the ground. Ramp members (26) are provided at opposite ends of the deck, each ramp member being mounted for movement between a lowered position in which it serves as a ramp and a raised position in which it is adapted to engage a dolly (8) loaded onto the pallet, to prevent movement of the dolly. Preferably, the pallet has tracks 14 for the wheels. The ramp may have a pin and slot type hinge mechanism whereby the ramp can be locked upright and also folded flat onto the surface for stacking on return empty. A plurality of dolly's can be fitted on a pallet. |
