[PROBLEM] To provide a receiver and the like that can quickly record a received TS as a partial TS in a simple configuration and, when the recorded partial TS is output to an external device, quickly output it as the original TS in a simple configuration. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] When a partial TS, which is a part of a TS, is recorded on a hard disk HD, a microcomputer (14) creates the partial TS with a SIT composed only of a partial TS descriptor and a network identification descriptor that are required descriptors out of the descriptors to be included in the SIT for the partial TS. This SIT is recorded on the hard disk HD and, at the same time, the partial TS descriptor and the network identification descriptor are recorded in another area on the hard disk HD. At an output time, an SIT including descriptors having sufficient contents is created for a partial TS by using the descriptors recorded in the other area as supplementary information. |
