FIELD: the invention refers to testing technique. ^ SUBSTANCE: the essence of the mode is that a sample of material is deformed and the moment of the loss of plastic stability is registered. The maximum temperature on the working portion of the material is registered. Graphic of the dependence of changing of the maximum temperature from the degree of deformation is made and the moment of the beginning of loosing plastic stability is defined in accord with sharp increase of temperature at the post critical stage of the tests. ^ EFFECT: increases accuracy of testing. ^ 1 dwg
