FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing biologically active compounds used in agriculture and animal husbandry. Tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ammonium-o-cresoxyacetate is prepared by interaction of triethanolamine with o-cresozyacetic acid in the solvent medium under conditions of three-stage temperature effect. At the first stage the process is carried out at the solvent boiling point, at the second stage at temperatures 81-85°C, and at the three stage at temperatures 73-77°C. The process is carried out in the vertical device fitted with three heating zones and rotor with control number of revolution and consisting of shaft with movable vanes.
