The shoe has a measurement device for measuring physical values. A computerized calculating device and a fixed or removable digital display device (32) calculates and displays relevant information concerning the values of a physical activity, respectively. The device (32) has a small screen (35) and adjustment buttons (31). The measured physical value permits to obtain the temporal characteristics of the stride. The physical values include course time, speed, acceleration, the distance covered, duration of drive, rate, metabolic speed and more particularly data of the energy loss i.e. the total number of calories burned. An independent claim is also included for a process of calculating physical values.
