PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a receiver superior in utilization convenience which quickly and surely stores a nominally maximum number of auto store stations without prolonging the time for completing an auto store process, even if broadcast stations having the same program identifying IDs are deleted. SOLUTION: The receiver comprises a multiplex data demodulator 3 for demodulating multiplex data in a subcarrier of audio broadcasts, a controller 2 which acquires field strength information of broadcast station frequencies to be set up and detects a program identifying ID in audio broadcasts as a subcarrier from the multiplex data demodulation output, a tentative memory 4 for tentatively storing the acquired field density information and the broadcast station frequencies thereof more than the nominal maximum number of auto store stations, and a final memory 5 for finally storing the broadcast station frequencies of the program identifying IDs corresponding to the broadcast station frequencies of the tentatively stored field strength information in the normally maximum number of auto store stations field strength order.
