PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a gap (play) which occurs between a back (vertical engaging wall surface) of a latch and an engaging edge of a strike when the door is closed. SOLUTION: This latch lock for the door is equipped with the latch engaged with a rectangular engaging opening of the strike provided on the side of a frame when the door is closed. The latch lock for the door is characterized as follows: a latch retracting device, which has a movable pushing body rotatably journaled on a shaft, is provided on the side of the frame; and the movable pushing body pushes the back of the latch, getting into the engaging opening, by an urging force of an urging means on the side of the frame in the closing of the door.
