Disclosed is a power divider (10) for a motor vehicle comprising a first and a second driven axle (12, 14), an input member (18) that can be connected to the output (20) of a drive unit, a transverse differential (22) for the first driven axle (12), an output member (28) which can be connected to the second driven axle (14), and a friction clutch (70) equipped with two friction members (72, 74). One (72) of said friction members (72, 74) is joined to the output member (28) while the other friction member (74) is connected in an axially rigid manner to an input element (56) of the transverse differential (22). The input element (56) of the transverse differential (22) rests on the output member (28) in an axial direction.
