LOOP ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS IC TAG READING AND WRITING

An antenna capable of normal communication regardless of which direction an antenna surface of a wireless IC tag attached to an article faces. A loop antenna (2) for a reader/writer, communicating with a wireless IC tag (4) to read information of the tag (4) and write information in the tag (4). Those portions of a figure- 8-shaped antenna wire (5) which are the furthest from an intersection (6) are parallelly arranged and electromagnetically coupled (13) to form the antenna in a loop shape, and the inside of the loop is formed as a space for the tag to pass through.
