A white light emitting organic electroluminescence element, comprising two electrodes and, interposed therebetween, one or more constituent layers including a luminescent layer, the constituent layers containing at least two types of phosphorescent compounds, characterized in that at least one of the phosphorescent compounds is a green light emitting ortho-metal complex, and that the spectral component ratio of green light emitting ortho-metal complex exhibited in the emission spectrum distribution over 400 to 800 nm region is = 60%.
