PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for clogging preventive ejection, and to shorten a time required for recording without delaying a timing of clogging preventive ejection even when recording is continuously carried out to many recording media. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder is equipped with fixed heads HD1-HD5 which are set opposite to a recording face PP of the recording medium P placed and transferred on a transfer belt V, and which have a recording region constituted by arranging a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink droplets, in a direction that intersects a transfer direction of the recording medium P. The transfer belt V has openings WD1-WD5 formed for clogging preventive ejection. The openings WD1-WD5 are opposed to the fixed heads HD1-HD5 by a predetermined timing while the transfer belt V makes a round.
