PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the reverse presentation of an encoded digital media stream. SOLUTION: A reference frame of which BOF is decoded, is decoded and stored forwards, a non-reference frame of BOF is stored in an encoded state and for each sub sequence including a non-reference frame and at least neighboring one reference frame in reverse order starting from a final frame of the sequence, a first reference frame of the sequence is presented by repeating, until reaching the first frame, processing that a reference frame is presented if a frame to be presented next in the reverse order is a reference frame, a sub sequence to be presented next to the non-reference frame is generated, a non-reference frame which is just generated in the reverse order of the sequence, is presented, a memory for storing a non-reference frame which is just presented, is released, and the reference frame is presented if the frame to be next presented in the reverse order is the reference frame.
