PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service life time predicting method of a robot capable of preventing the sevice life of the robot from becoming unexpectedly short. SOLUTION: This invention is a method for predicting service life time capable of operating the robot 10 having a plurality of axes, and is characterized by predicting the service life time of the robot 10 when repeatedly operating the robot 10 in an optional operation pattern different from a reference operation pattern (Step S5), by using the total torque quantityτs1 toτs6 with respective axes generated when repeatedly operating the robot 10 in reference service life time Tg in the reference operation pattern being a reference.
