PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector having a function to prevent the occurrence of a ghost image. SOLUTION: The micromirror apparatus for generating an image beam for forming an image by adjusting a light source for providing the beam and the beam provided by the light source is constituted to include the micromirror apparatus having a plurality of micromirrors which are arrayed in a matrix, turn to the state of ON or OFF by rotation due to application of different control voltages, turn to a flat state in the state not applied with the control voltages, and reflect the image beam in the state of ON, an image forming lens set for projecting the incident image beam, and the light shielding plate which is prepared on the route of the rays generated when the plurality of the micromirrors in the flat state of all of the micromirrors between the micromirror apparatus and the image forming lens set reflect the image beam.
