PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption by reducing the loss in a torque converter. SOLUTION: This automatic transmission mounted vehicle, is constituted to monitor an operating state of the torque converter 22 and to give an instruction to a driver to perform a specific driving operation (accelerator returning operation, engagement operation of a lock-up clutch 21 or the like) for reducing the loss in the torque convertor 22, or to automatically execute specific vehicle control (reducing engine output, controlling gear shift, and engaging lock-up clutch 21) for reducing the loss in the torque converter 22, when the loss of the torque converter 22 is large.
