PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a silver halide color paper: (a) which insures such promptness that finished prints can be delivered by hand in situ to customers; (b) which is so space-saving that it is suitable for a minilab; (c) in which such stability of processing solutions as to suppress degradation of the processing solutions even in off-hour can be ensured; (d) by which normal image quality is always maintained; and (e) which needs small amounts of replenishers. SOLUTION: The method for processing a silver halide color paper includes a step of processing with a color developer, a step of successive processing with a bleaching solution and a step of successive processing with a solution having a fixing ability, wherein a light-sensitive material is conveyed in a solution without contacting air between the processing with the bleaching solution and the processing with the solution having the fixing ability, and wherein a sum of a processing time of the processing with the bleaching solution and the processing with the solution having the fixing ability is≤12 s.
