PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage inspection device for a liquid storage tank capable of detecting minute fluctuations in the liquid face level caused by leakage of a liquid. SOLUTION: In this leakage inspection device C having a float 4 floating on a liquid face, a wire 5 for suspending the float at its lower end, and a swing balancer 3 with a midway fixed to a pivotal shaft 2, arranged swingably around an axis of the pivotal shaft 2, with one end fixed to the wire 5, and with the other end attached with a weight 7, a displacement of the other end in the swing balancer 3 is measured electrically by a sensor mechanism 9.
