PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel whose water-resistance and sharpness are improved and a method for manufacturing the panel. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the radiation image conversion panel including a stimulable phosphor layer containing stimulable phosphors on a support, the method is characterized in that a protective layer containing coloring matter and polyurea absorbing excitation laser beam is formed through evaporation on the stimulable phosphor layer after forming it by a gas phase method (or a vapor phase deposition).
