PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce intrusion of heat by entrainment of outside air through air curtains in a multi-stage open showcase comprising inner and outer multiple layers of air curtains. SOLUTION: In this open showcase, two layers of inner and outer air curtains 11 and 14 formed of cold air and non-cold air are formed in a front opening part of a commodity storage chamber 7 so as to blow the airs downward from above. The blowing direction of the outer layer air curtain 14 is inclined to the outside of the storage relative to the blowing direction of the inner layer air curtain 11. According to this, the outer layer air curtain 14 is separated from the inner layer air curtain 11 in the vicinity of air outlet ports 9 and 12 where the flow velocity is large, whereby generation/growth of interference vortex in the boundary layer is delayed and suppressed to reduce the intrusion of heat by the entrainment of the outside air.
