PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Baumkuchen having heightened value in appearance and perfume; and to provide a method for producing the Baumkuchen. SOLUTION: The Baumkuchen is obtained through a sepia paste-preparing step P1 for preparing a sepia paste 10 at least by using sepia 1, raw cream 2 and saccharides 3, a dough-preparing step P2 for preparing dough 20 at least by using oil and fat 4, saccharides 5, an egg 6 and flour 7, a mixing step P3 for preparing a sepia-containing dough 30 by mixing the sepia paste 10 with the dough 20 obtained at the sepia paste-preparing step P1 and the dough-preparing step P2, and a baking step P4 for baking the resultant squid ink-containing dough 30.
