An image processor, an image processing method, an image processing program, and a recording medium on which the program is recorded, in which a plurality of areas in an image can be identified accurately by integrating background difference and color detection. At first, a camera (3) picks up only the background area (1) to produce background image data. A structured data storage section (13) stores the coordinates of the pixels of the background image data and the color gradation values of the pixels after structuring them in an identification space, thus forming a background color area. Subsequently, input image data created by picking upthe background area (1) and an object area (2) is obtained by means of the camera (3). A class identification section (14) calculates the distance in the identification space between the color gradation value of each pixel and the background color area. Based on the distance thus calculated, the class identification section (14) identifies whether the color gradation value of each pixel belongs to the background color area or another color area outside the background. |
