<p>A method for activating the operation of the multimedia broadcast/multicast service, the method includes the steps of: a. After the UE which need to receive MBMS bearer service past the authorization, establishes and activates MBMS UE Context, and requests the SGSN to create MBMS UE Context; b. The serving general packet radio service support node SGSN, the gateway general packet radio service support node GGSN and the Broadcast/Multicast serving controller BM-SC establish the MBMS UE Context respectively, then gets on with the sequential flow of activating the MBMS bearer service. The BM-SC is able to establish the MBMS UE Context by using this method, thereout the flow of activating the MBMS bearer service is consummated; and by this method, it also is able to predigest the operation, decrease the signaling redundancy, optimize the signaling flux, avoid the repeated flux, and improve process efficiency.</p> |
