PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and an image processing method ensuring that image information is sent to a destination without the addition of a bulk file that could become a burden on an email system or a receiving terminal, while also enabling a receiving end to easily obtain the image data that the receiving end determines to be necessary. SOLUTION: An image input/output device 10 allows image information to be inputted from an image input device 201 or the like and stored in an HDD 208 in a control unit 200. Low-resolution images and vector data are created from the image information according to the attributes of individual objects included in the image information and these pieces of information and information about the storage location of the image information are sent to a designated destination.
