PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of vertical stripes in a display region. SOLUTION: A first step supplies a data signal so as to make prescribed gradation to each pixel as a state making potential of common electrodes shift to the high-potential side. A second step modifies the voltage of the data signal to a specific row of the pixels so as to make the specific row of the pixels the same gradation as those of the other row of the pixels and stores regulation data, indicating a modification amount as correction data of positive polarity to the prescribed gradation, when the specific row of the pixels are the gradation different from the other row of the pixels. When designated positive polarity writing is executed, the voltage of the data signal corresponding to the designated gradation is corrected with the correction data, corresponding to the gradation.
