PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain drive conveyor, capable of preventing large deterioration of carrying efficiency even when a chain is broken. SOLUTION: In this conveyor 1, proximity switches 100 and 100 are provided close to a right and left side parts 712 and 711 of a center link 71. The proximity switches 100 and 100 are disposed to direct detecting surfaces 101 and 101 respectively toward the right and the left side parts 712 and 711 of the center link 71. When one of the right and the left side parts 712 and 711 is broken to be bent outward to reach a prescribed distance (about 15 mm) from the detection surface 101, the right/left side part 712/711 is detected.
