PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an independent power supply in which a fault can be localized easily and the lifetime of a battery can be prolonged. SOLUTION: The independent power supply is fixed with a sensor becoming a material for determing the cause of a fault, fault in the independent power supply is monitored based on the measurements of the sensor, and charge/discharge of a battery 3 is stopped as required.
