PHOTOELECTRIC COMPOSITE TYPE CONNECTOR, AND SUBSTRATE USING THE CONNECTOR

A photoelectric composite type connector enabled to make precise and easy an optical alignment adjustment between an photoelectric conversion element and a waveguide but not required to have a high precision for positioning an optical member and a substrate. A photoelectric conversion connector comprises a first connector unit, which can be connected with optical transmission means, and a second connector unit, which can be removably connected with the first connector unit. The first connector unit includes a photoelectric conversion module, and an electric connector unit having a first conductor electrically connected with the photoelectric conversion module. The second connector unit is formed into an electric connector unit having a second conductor in a manner to correspond to the electric connector unit of the first connector unit. When the electric connector unit of the first connector unit and the second connector unit are connected with each other by making use of their electric connector structures, the first conductor of the electric connector unit of the first connector unit and the second conductor of the second connector unit are electrically connected with each other.
