<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent enlargement of the size of image data if one dot data exceed 8 bits in printer system. <P>SOLUTION: After 8-bit dot data are converted to 10-bit data in PC, the 10-bit data are subjected to bit-packing process, and changed to image data, in which each dot data are continuously arranged as shown in Figure, and the data are transmitted to a printer. In the printer, the 10-bit dot data are taken from the image data in process through an engine control CPU. In each line as shown in Figure, the arrangement of the dot data agrees with a bite boundary for each 4 dot cycle (for 5 bite cycle), and the 10-bit data can be taken out thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
