PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television broadcast receiving system for receiving ground waves that can easily set up a multidirectional antenna and a TV broadcast receiver and allow a plurality of TV broadcast receivers to share one set of multidirectional antenna. SOLUTION: The television broadcast receiving system 1 includes one set of the multidirectional antenna 3 and a plurality of the TV broadcast receivers 2A, 2B connected to the antenna 3. The TV broadcast receivers 2A, 2B attach receiver identification information for identifying the TV broadcast receivers 2A, 2B to an antenna control signal for controlling the multidirectional antenna 3 to produce the receiver identification information attached control signal and wirelessly transmit the control signal from transmitters 27A, 27B. On the other hand, the multidirectional antenna 3 receives the receiver identification information attached control signal via a receiver 33, references the receiver identification information and extracts the antenna control signal to switch an effective reception direction or the like of the antenna only when receiving the receiver identification information attached control signal from a prescribed receiver.
