PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure facilitating the connecting work of woods and having difficulty producing a crack in the end section of wood. SOLUTION: The connecting structure for a wooden building is so constituted that in order to connect a stringer to a cross-piece, the stringer to a diagonal member or both diagonal members to each other, a connecting hardware consists of an attached hardware stopped to one side member and a basic hardware stopped to the other side member, the connecting hardware is held in a butt place of two members and that the basic hardware and the attached hardware are penetrated from a pin hole in the side of one side member to drive a lock pin, the basic hardware is a U-shaped plate in plan view, a stopper positioning the attached hardware has in the bottom side, a drilled hole stopping the central piece of the U-shaped plate is bored in the other side member, two directions of the opening direction of the U-shaped plate and the opposite direction of the stopper are set as the range wherein the attached hardware can be inserted, the attached hardware provides a hold groove in the central part of the end face width of one side member by a block fitted to the U-shaped plate, a lug screw is buried in the bottom of the hold groove, the attached hardware is held in the central pare of the inner side width of the hold groove to stop on the lug screw, and the pin hole in the side of one side member is bored larger than the lock pin for the connection.
