PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging whether the chips are fixed so as to be capable of actually interacting with each other, also a method for evaluating whether samples are precisely collected and prepared, and further a sensor chip to which these methods can be applicable. SOLUTION: This method for examining the quality of the sensor chip is provided by using any of (1) the correlation in the expression level of in a plurality of circadian rhythm-regulating genes, or (2) a pattern with time in the expression level of a specific circadian rhythm-regulating gene, as an index for the judgement. Also, the method for evaluating whether the collection and preparation of the sample used for the detection of the interaction of substances are performed precisely is provided by using any of the (1) and (2) as the index for the judgement. Further, a DNA chip and protein chip using a specific substrate zone as the quality-examining zone or the sample evaluating zone of the sensor chip are provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
