<p>A network based home audio/video control systems. In one embodiment, the system includes, a plurality of audio/video (A/V) devices, an A/V interface panel in communication with the plurality of A/V devices, a switching matrix and an access device. The switching matrix is adapted to selectively control connections between the plurality of A/V devices through the audio/video interface panel. The access device is adapted to receive directions and produce control signals based on the received directions.
