A DEVICE FOR MANUALLY INPUTTING INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO AN EQUIPMENT INCORPORATING DIGITAL ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS

A device for manually inputting information and instructions to an equipment incorporating digital electronic circuits is provided. The device comprises at least three pairs of keys (K1, K2; K3, K4; K5, K6) with associated switching means (M1), located on the surface of a housing such that two keys of each said pair of keys are in close proximity to one another for operating either of the two keys independently or both keys together by a single finger of the operator, providing up to 63 combinations of operation of said keys using three fingers of one hand. The switching means (M1) is connected to input terminals of a digital signal processing circuit (P) having signal producing means to provide digital signals corresponding to each said combination to the said equipment (E) through signal transmission means (M2).
