PURPOSE: A heater block for a long loop wire bonding is provided to prevent gold wire from contacting a brim of a chip, by having a heater block rib elevate the long gold wire in a wire bonding process. CONSTITUTION: A heater block for a long loop wire bonding having a heater block plate of a wire bonder, a pad resting part of a lead frame, and a plurality of vacuum holes formed in the pad resting part, comprises a heater block rib. The pad resting part of a lead frame installed in the heater block plate, has an intagliated shape more than the surface of the heater block plate. The heater block plate further comprises a heater block rib more protruded than the surface of the heater block plate in which the heater block rib surrounds an outer part of the pad resting part, and prevents long loop bonded gold wire from contacting a brim of a chip in the pad resting part. |
