<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of reducing both inverter loss and motor loss, and to provide a dual power vehicle mounting it. <P>SOLUTION: In the power converter for generating a pulse voltage of AC voltage waveform from the output voltage of a DC voltage source, the DC voltage source has a voltage source output part (terminal) outputting three or more potentials including a common potential, the power converter has a switching means connecting with one (terminal) of three or more potentials and applying a voltage to the output part of the power converter, and each switching means generates pulse voltage by controlling the on/off pulse width. Since a switching means for connecting three or more potentials selectively is provided, loss in both the motor and the power converter can be reduced both when a high voltage is applied to the motor and when a low voltage is applied to the motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
