<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the humidity of air in an image forming apparatus without complicating a dehumidifying means and an air current route. <P>SOLUTION: The humidity control method of the image forming apparatus is provided with the dehumidifying means 4 by cooling dew condensation in the air current route 3 to an image forming part 2 positioned in the machine of the image forming apparatus 1. The humidity control method sucks the open air by a fan motor 5 arranged at the outermost machine outside of the air current route 3, dehumidifies it with the dehumidifying means 4, and supplies it to the image forming part 2 through the air current route 3. The humidity control method controls an amount of air performing dehumidifying treatment about a unit time by controlling a wind amount, and controls humidity of air without complicating the dehumidifying means 4 and the air current route 3 since humidity of dehumidifying air can be controlled. When the dehumidifying air of low humidity is needed, the humidity control method can cope with the lowering of the wind amount, can constitute the dehumidifying means 4 without having excessive dehumidifying performance, and enable space saving of the apparatus and energy saving. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
