PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for appropriately cutting out a component image of a GUI from an image having a multiple layer structure where images are arranged in a plurality of layers. SOLUTION: The component image is cut out according to cut-out region information from a superposed image where images arranged on a specified layer of integrated layer information are superimposed, in the image having the multiple layer structure where the plurality of images are arranged as the plurality of layers, and the component image is stored in an image file. Therefore, a problem is avoided wherein a component image different from an original design is created by manually cutting out the images arranged on respective layers one by one and then manually superimposing them as the conventional manner.
