PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of appropriately controlling heating operation and heat accumulating operation respectively. SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 is provided with a refrigerant circuit including a compressor 311, an outdoor heat exchanger 312, an indoor heat exchanger 371, a heat exchanger 42 for heat accumulation, and a heat accumulation gas pipe 354, and a control part. The heat exchanger 42 for heat accumulation exchanges heat with a heat accumulating material 44. The heat accumulation gas pipe 354 distributes a part of a refrigerant discharged from the compressor 311 to the indoor heat exchanger 371 to the heat exchanger 42 for heat accumulation in a heating and heat accumulating state where the indoor heat exchanger 371 and the heat exchanger 42 for heat accumulation are functioned as a condenser, and the outdoor heat exchanger 312 is functioned as an evaporator. The control part can switch between a first state where the refrigerant of a first refrigerant circulation amount circulates in a refrigerant circuit, and a second state where the refrigerant of a second refrigerant circulation amount larger than the first refrigerant circulation amount circulates in the refrigerant circuit, and circulates the refrigerant in the second state in an initial period of the heating and heat accumulating state.
