PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a voice at a statistically optimum volume when a user switches an operation mode, or a playing back optical disk is replaced or the like, in an optical disk player integral type television receiver. SOLUTION: The television receiver switches the operation mode (#1); refers to the history of a volume use frequency stored on an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)(#2); calculates an average volume value (#3); corrects the average volume value by referring to a volume correction value stored on the EEPROM for output to a voice output amplifier (#4); when changing the volume value by the user (YES in #5), outputs the changed volume value to the voice output amplifier (#6); and stores the changed volume value, a day of the week, time, the operation mode, and type of optical disk and the like as the history of the volume use frequency on the EEPROM (#7).
