PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dry a residue containing sugar. SOLUTION: A scraper 13 is provided for evenly leveling and peeling off the residue Z placed on a treatment plate 11, a cutter 14 is attached to a turnable drum 15 to cut the residue Z peeled off by the scraper 13 toward the treatment plate 11 such that its front and back are reversed, and an infrared heater 16 is provided for heating the residue Z placed on the treatment plate 11.
