[Classes 39 (ii) and 75 (ii).] In a portable electric battery lamp, pocket lamp or the like, of the kind provided with a reflector which is adjustable axially relatively to the lamp bulb, the means for adjusting the reflector comprises a bow-shaped member 9, Fig. 1, which is disposed outside the casing 3 and pivoted thereon to operatively engage the reflector or reflector housing and serves also as a carrying handle. The upper end of the casing is provided with a cylindrical socket 4 to receive a sleeve-like extension 2 on a housing 1 containing a parabolic reflector 1c and lens or glass cover 1b. A pin 5, Fig. 3, on the extension 2 engages within a slot 6 in the socket 4 to limit the movement of the reflector housing 1. The handle 9 is formed of wire, with side limbs 8 pivoted in bearings 8a riveted on the front of the casing just below, and at each side of, the reflector housing, so that the limbs 8 pass between the rear of the housing 1 and members 7 extending laterally therefrom.
