The valve assembly especially for mounting on a profiled element (3) has at least one valve (1) or valve block with a ventilation connection (2), and the valve or valve block along with a sound damper are mounted on the profiled element. The exhaust air connection between the ventilation connection and sound damper is created by an internal passage (6,6') in the profiled element. The exhaust air expands in the internal passage in order to reduce the annoying noise level on account of the large volume of the internal passage.
